Community-Led TB/HIV Monitoring & Advocacy in Southern & Eastern Africa

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

Objectives:

·          Establish clearer understanding of international policy framework and targets on TB/HIV collaborative activities and national level policies and programs on promoting TB prevention, diagnosis and treatment for people living with HIV

·          Define “monitoring” and discuss ways successful monitoring efforts can further advocacy and be used as an accountability mechanism

·          Identify priority advocacy goals within the context of measures to prevent, detect and treat TB in people living with HIV

·          Discuss a framework for advocacy and monitoring on TB/HIV  and outline a work plan for validating the priority advocacy goals in preparation for developing full project proposals
